Danny Welbeck could reportedly be leaving Arsenal for Galatasaray in the summer.
- Welbeck has scored four goals and assisted two in 16 appearances
- Former Manchester United striker has two years left on contract
- Galatasaray said to be willing to pay £16m as well as Welbz’s wages
- Player waiting for Wenger’s decision on his Arsenal future
The S*n are claiming that Welbz is thinking about leaving north London for Turkey amid uncertainty over Arsene Wenger’s future.
The Gunners are allegedly asking for £16m, the same amount as they paid Manchester United for the striker back in 2014, which Gala are apparently happy to pay, along with the 26-year-old’s wages.
Of course, the report is ridiculous.
Although Welbz ‘only’ has two years left on his current deal, it seems unlikely that he would be looking to leave Arsenal this summer.
After returning from a second long-term injury, he’s finding his form and has been gradually playing for an increasing amount of time.
He has no reason to want to leave, considering that all Wenger has done it be cautious with him, and the manager has no reason to want to sell him, since Welbz has been producing on the pitch and even scored against his former club on Sunday.
