Does this leaked clip from an interview with beIN sports journalist Ibrahim Khadra suggest that Alexis Sanchez and Arsene Wenger are both staying at Arsenal next season?

  • Alexis’ comments suggest Wenger will be at Arsenal next season
  • Chilean claims he’s happy at Arsenal in leaked interview clip
  • Forward doesn’t listen to media speculation over his future

Speaking to Khadra in an interview that’s set to be aired within the next 24 hours, Alexis praised Wenger, claiming that he believes the Frenchman is the right man for the Arsenal job, and putting any rumours that there’s some sort of rift between the two to bed.

“Like I’ve always said, he [Wenger] is a manager that helps the players grow, mature, players like Fabregas, Henry,” the 28-year-old said during the short clip, apparently recorded off a TV screen.

“My future? I am flattered by the interest shown from different clubs but I am happy at Arsenal. [Gossips] don’t get to my head,” he continued, according to the Daily Star.

“Arsène is more than a manager here. He was, still is and will always be the right man for the job.”

With Alexis reportedly refusing to sign a contract extension, it’s thought that the Gunners will look to sell him this summer in order to cash in on him rather than allow him to potentially sign for a rival for free next year.

Bayern Munich is said to be the Chilean’s preferred destination and most Gooners have sort of made their peace with the idea of the forward leaving, despite him recently patting the badge and pointing to the ground when he scored against Stoke.

However, Alexis’ recent comments imply that perhaps there is a chance that he could stay.
