When recently speaking to the Daily Express, former Manchester United player Ryan Giggs expressed his admiration for Alexis Sanchez.

The legend of Old Trafford is convinced that the Chilean would ‘lift’ current squad in Manchester if he were to be signed.

In the report, when speaking about Alexis Sanchez, Giggs said: “[He’s] a brilliant player. His work rate, the effect he has on his teammates, a winner.

“He just looks how South Americans are, tough aren’t they.”

Responding to a question if he could see Alexis in Manchester United’s shirt Giggs responded:

“Yeah. Jose Mourinho bought [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic because he is a winner.

“He’d won everywhere he’d gone. Not only the effect on the pitch but off the pitch as well.

“You can just feel that Sanchez would give his teammates a lift.”

The 28-year-old, as we all know, has yet to decide about his future at Arsenal, and with plenty of interested parties, he’s really spoiled for choice.

Alexis is the top performer at the Emirates, making his mark all over Arsenal’s season with 23 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League.

Comments coming from Ryan Giggs could give a boost to United’s desire to lure Sanchez to Old Trafford, but it’s somewhat unlikely that we’ll see any business between the two clubs.

With relations between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wengere looking better than ever, at least in public, the Frenchman is sure to use every means necessary to make sure that his best player doesn’t join any Premier League club if he were in fact to leave the club this summer.
