Wojciech Szczesny looks increasingly likely to return to Arsenal this summer.

  • Woj wants to return to where he started
  • Napoli interest has died down
  • Roma have accepted he will be at Arsenal next season
  • Talks over his future set to take place today (5 May)

Woj has been on loan at Roma for the last two seasons after Arsenal signed Petr Cech from Chelsea.

With little more than a year left on his current deal in north London, it was rumoured that the goalkeeper wouldn’t return, as he wanted to be number one, which is understandable given that he’s 27 and has done brilliantly in Serie A while away.

However, recently, the tides appear to have changed, and it’s now being reported that not only does Woj want to return to Arsenal but Roma have accepted that the Poland international won’t be with them next summer.

Although Napoli seemed highly interested over the past few weeks as they hunt for a replacement for the ageing Pepe Reina, reports linking them with the 27-year-old appear to have died down, potentially signalling that they realise their efforts will be a waste of time.
