According to reports, Arsenal are preparing for a battle with Paris Saint-Germain as the both clubs look to sign Brazilian right-back Danilo from Real Madrid.

News outfit Don Balon are suggesting that Danilo has caught the eyes of Arsenal’s scouts as the Gunners look to add another right-back to increase squad depth.

With Dani Carvajal playing the leading role in this position at Real Madrid, Danilo is said to be looking at his options.

Should Hector Bellerin join Barcelona (he won’t), Danilo is believed to be a serious target for the Gunners, but they could face a stern opposition in Paris Saint-Germain.

The French outfit are believed to preparing a move for the Brazilian as they apparently look to increase the number of players of that nationality in the hopes they land Neymar.

The logic behind hoarding Brazilians in Paris, according to reports, is to make the club more attractive to Neymar. How is that relevant to Neymar’s wish to join PSG is something I can’t understand.

If it’s even remotely true, it’s a bit weird at best, and I guess the willingness of a player to join a certain club is more about the prospect of challenging himself and winning titles than having a bunch of friends of the same nationality in the squad.
