Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offload right-back, Danilo, onto Arsenal if the Gunners choose to sell Hector Bellerin.

  • Real signed Danilo for £26m from Porto in 2015
  • Brazil international has made just 13 La Liga appearances this season
  • Florentino Perez wants to make back money he spent on the right-back

Despite Bellerin only just signing a new deal with Arsenal in November, which takes him up to 2023, reports have been doing the rounds that Barcelona have made him one of their main transfer targets this summer. Although they’re allegedly not too keen on his £34m price tag.

Now, reports have emerged from Don Balon that Real president, Florentino Perez, wants the Gunners to sell Bellerin to Barcelona, so that he can offer them Danilo.

The full-back has only made 13 league appearances for Real this season and Perez is apparently keen to make back a portion of the £26m the La Liga giants paid Porto back in 2015. That way, he can put the funds to better use.

Obviously, Arsenal would need to sell Bellerin to Barcelona first.

This is what the Express‘ translation of Dan Balon’s report, and indeed what the original report, appear to say.

However, other outlets, including the Daily Star, believe that Real Madrid want Bellerin for themselves and want to offer Danilo in exchange.
