Arsenal’s talented teenage striker, Stephy Mavididi, will complete his recovery from injury in time for pre-season training in July.

The 18-year-old forward, who sustained a torn hamstring whilst on-loan at Charlton Athletic in February, is entering the latter stages of his recovery process and is expected to take full part in Arsenal’s pre-season training.

Mavididi netted eight goals and created countless chances for our u23 side before his loan move to the League One side was finalised in January.

Playing in a variety of attack positions, it was clear to see that he had matured and experience made him more of a complete player in the final third – someone who has become equally comfortable building up play as converting opportunities.

Although he was still awaiting his first Charlton goal before his loan was abruptly ended by injury, his performances quickly earned praise from supporters. Blistering speed, attacking prowess and the ability to take on defenders with ease, Mavididi was welcomed with open arms.

Charlton boss Karl Robinson has already stated his intention to sign Mavididi on another loan spell once he’s fully fit.

Mavididi 19 at the end of this month and will undoubtedly be keen to make up for lost time, especially with younger attacking players like Edward Nketiah eager for an opportunity centre-stage.
