Arsenal are reportedly very interested in Celtic’s young full-back Kieran Tierney but have hit a stumbling block after the defender revealed his intent to play under Brendan Rodgers for another season.

According to the rumour mill, Rodgers is desperately trying to hold on to his coveted defender. The 19-year-old Tierney admitted a 10-minute private talk with his boss convinced him to stay at Celtic Park and reject any offers coming from the Emirates.

The Gunners have reportedly offered £10 million for the hot prospect, but both Celtic and the player have decided that it’s not yet time for him to move.

Kieran Tierney has been very impressive for his side in this season, establishing himself as a regular in Brendan Rodgers’s side, making a total of 30 appearances in all competitions. He’s also represented the Scotland national team on three occasions as deserved recognition for his club form.

Young Scotsman is one of the brightest prospects in the Scottish Premiership and there will be some serious competition to capture his signature in the years to come.
