Arsene Wenger has revealed that Kieran Gibbs is an injury doubt for the FA Cup final on Saturday after missing out on the Everton game with a thigh problem.

  • Could miss out on FA Cup final on Saturday

Gibbs is yet to return to training ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup final clash against Chelsea on Saturday.

The wing-back missed the Gunners’ 3-1 win over the Toffees with a thigh problem and according to Wenger is a doubt for their final game of the season against their London rivals.

“Gibbs has not trained yet, he has a test today [Wednesday],” Wenger said.

“Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training, but Gibbs is not.”

Gibbs is no stranger to injuries and with just one year left on his current Arsenal deal, you do have to wonder whether the 27-year-old factors into the club’s plans, especially if they do (finally) sign Sead Kolasinac.

The defender has made just 22 appearances this season, 11 of which were in the Premier League, and completed 1,648 minutes over all competitions.

Meanwhile, Shkodran Mustafi (ill/concussion), Gabriel (knee), Santi Cazorla (ankle) and Laurent Koscielny (suspension) all miss the FA Cup final.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez are in training and face late tests.
