Juventus have apparently pulled out of the race to sign Lyon midfielder, Corentin Tolisso, who Arsenal have been linked with.
- Tolisso dreams of Arsenal move
- Midfielder has scored eight goals and assisted five in Ligue 1
- Lyon have put asking price up to £52m
- Previous favourites Juventus priced out
Tolisso has taken Ligue 1 by storm this season, scoring eight goals and assisting five in 31 appearances.
At the age of 22, he’s naturally started to attract attention from some Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal and Inter. However, the club that was previously favourite to sign him, Juventus, has had to pull out of the running.
According to Calcio Mercato [via talkSPORT], Lyon have upped their asking price from £34m to £52m, which is out of the Old Lady’s range.
Considering that the France international has spoken about his ‘dream’ of playing for Arsenal (or Real Madrid or Barcelona, of course), you have to imagine that if the Gunners really are interested, they have some sort of advantage.
Tolisso’s contract with Lyon runs out in 2020.
