According to reports from Guardian journalist Ed Aarons, both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in OGC Nice star Jean Seri.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been one of the key performers in this year’s campaign for Nice and is on the radar of most European clubs.

Reports suggest Arsenal and Totenham are the main candidates for his transfer, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also in talks.

The Ivorian midfielder has a release clause in his contract worth £34 million and Nice are expected to demand at least £20 million for the player.

Seri has made 36 appearances in all competitions for Nice, and has played a part in 15 goals, scoring six and assisting nine.

The midfielder has had outstanding season with Nice who are battling top Ligue 1 teams for the championship, and his last performance against PSG is believed to have convinced Unai Emery to prioritise his transfer to French capital.

Seri himself said: “There are a lot of clubs that follow me. But there is nothing done.

“If I leave, it will be to join a club where there is a real desire to play football as in Nice. And I’m not going to be on the bench, I’m leaving only if I know I’m going to play.”

Seri is one of many reported Arsenal’s targets to boost their midfield. Along with Leon Goretzka and Naby Keita, to name just two, Arsenal are not short of options this summer.
