Alex Iwobi joined up with his Nigerian team-mates as they prepare for Thursday’s friendly fixture against Togo.

Arriving alongside Chelsea fullback, Ola Aina, the 21-year-old will be eager to add to his nine international caps under current manager Gernot Rohr and with important fixtures coming up, preparations will intensify as the days go by.

Iwobi updated his Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon with pictures of him alongside team-mates in the winning side from training and it’s clear that the international break will do the youngster some good after a lack of regular first-team minutes in the final few months of the Premier League campaign.

Following their friendly encounter with Togo later this week, the Super Eagles will then begin their final preparations for the 2019 AFCON qualifying fixture against South Africa on June 10.

Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and Henry Onyekuru, linked with a £6.8m switch to the Emirates, are all involved within the 19-man squad currently.
