Arsenal remain fifth in the Injury League table, with Southampton, who they face in the league on Wednesday night, just below them in sixth.

Both teams potentially have four players out each.

Arsenal are obviously missing Santi Cazorla (ankle), who has been ruled out for the entire season. However, the other three players are only doubts.

Lucas Perez (thigh) is back in training with the rest of the Arsenal squad and therefore could feature against the Saints. Although it’s unlikely that he’ll start.

Granit Xhaka (calf) played against Manchester United despite being a doubt and is apparently fine but faces a late fitness test.

Laurent Koscielny is a doubt with a suspected muscular injury and also faces a late test after training.

Meanwhile, Southampton have Charlie Austin (shoulder), Matt Targett (thigh), Virgil van Dijk (ankle), and Alex McCarthy (thigh) all sidelined.
