Reports claim that both Valencia and Arsenal are interested in AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca.

With both teams having difficulties achieving their goals for this season, some serious work needs to be done in order to restore both clubs to greatness.

30-year-old Bacca is currently an AC Milan striker, and this season he’s made 31 appearances, scoring 14 goals and making four assists in all competitions.

Reports state that Bacca is unsettled at San Siro and is looking for a move away.

The main evidence for these claims lie in the fact that Bacca is nowhere near his goal tally from the last few season when he regularly scored more than 20.

The Colombian has a contract until 2020 but it’s more likely he’ll leave the club much earlier.

His experience in major European football leagues could benefit both Valencia and Arsenal.

Bacca’s main strength is finishing as the striker has great ability in front of the goal. He’s also very capable of catching opposition’s defence by surprise with his running, but does get caught in an offside position often.

Bacca is what you could call an ‘old breed’ striker as he often doesn’t contribute to his side’s defensive phase and often doesn’t track back.

He’s best utilised against high defences when he has space to run into and can deal with defenders one-on-one.

Even though he’s slowly getting to an age where his physicality is starting to fade, he’s still very good and can decide a match with a great strike.

Perhaps not the ideal solution for Arsenal’s attacking problems but he could prove to be a very good alternative to the current selection of Welbeck and Giroud.
