The Arsenal players have predictably gone ghost on social media following their shambles of a performance against Tottenham on Sunday.
- Players seemed excited ahead of NLD
- Not a single Arsenal player has spoken on social media since 2-0 loss to Spurs
The Arsenal players have become renowned for going ghost on social media following a loss. Particularly an embarrassing one.
All week, the Gunners have been talking about the match; the last North London Derby at White Hart Lane.
Now, where are they?
Some tweeted before the game.

Reserve goalkeeper, Emi Martinez, tweeted ahead of the game that Arsenal need all three points. Yeah… they did.

The injured Shkodran Mustafi at least pretended to be excited.

Other than this? Silence.
Off the back of a surprise victory in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City and a win against Leicester, some were duped into thinking that the team had actually sorted their s**t out.
Apparently not.
Although their media team is probably behind their social media silence, telling them to keep away from the negative comments, move on and not to fan the flames, I can’t help but be annoyed.
It almost seems cowardly. Just like their performance against Spurs.
Like they’re hiding.
