Alexandre Lacazette is set to leave Lyon this summer, as the French side needs to sell their main stars to balance their books.

Lacazette is target for more than a few European teams, and Arsenal are believed to be one of his greatest admirers.

France Football have reported that Arsenal are in fact very interested and the only Premier League side to want him. Other teams in talks are Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, and they appear to be the most serious contenders to sign him.

The 25-year-old Frenchman has smashed his way through Ligue 1 with 24 goals, and has added another seven goals in all other competitions over 40 appearances.

Lacazette has once again proven himself to be quite a striker, and has not scored fewer than 22 goals since the 13/14 season, with total a goal tally of 107 goals in four seasons.

For Lacazette, there really are no obstacles to finding the net over and over again. Whether he shoots from outside of the box, or is one-on-one with goalkeeper, you can put your money on him to score.

Aside from his great sense for goals, he’s an all round player. Lacazette has the ability to take his opponents head on and take advantage of defensive weaknesses as he find his teammates in more dangerous positions. If he needs to dribble to open space to take a chance, he can do that too.

At just 25 he’s still young enough and has his best years ahead of him. The only question this summer will be, for who will he score next season?

Lyon have set his price tag and will demand at least £50m for player, about £15m more than Arsenal reportedly offered for him last summer.

On a side note, Lyon are reported to be very interested in using money from any Lacazette deal to bring Anthony Martial from Manchester United.

Martial hasn’t settled well under Mourinho and it is possible he will seek a move away from Old Trafford this summer.
