Emil Forsberg’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya has hinted at a summer move for his client, with Arsenal reportedly linked to his signature.

The 25-year-old Forsberg has joined RB Leipzig two years ago from Malmo and is looking for a new challenge in his career.

Forsberg, a Swedish winger,  had a great season for Leipzig. In 32 appearances in all competitions, he scored eight goals and made a staggering 22 assists. His great performances have attracted a lot of interest and his agent admitted there are a number of clubs interested.

“I will not comment on the clubs involved. There are big clubs who are very interested in Emil. He has made history in Germany. Of course, you know RB want to keep Emil, you need to constantly make sure to keep Emil satisfied,” said the player’s representative to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

“He has paid back the club ten-fold. Maybe it’s time to test himself at a big club,” added Hasan Cetinkaya.

The RB Leipzig have a great financial backing and don’t have to sell their players, but the club’s Director of Football has accepted the fact that some of their players will need to be sold, but only for the right offer.

Talks between the player and the club have already been held but Cetinkaya refused to say what was the talking point of the discussion.

“The only thing I can say is that [Director of Football Ralf Rangnick] is the one who takes the final decision. We have built this together with Ralf, and we will never go up against him. For me, he is a man of honour, and it is he who decides the future. He has done and will always do the best for Emil.”

His asking price is said to be £30m this summer. Arsenal are believed to be very interested in his services as they are weighing up potential replacements for Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott, two players who could leave the club ahead of the new season.
