According to Foot Mercato reports, Arsenal are intensively scouting young Nantes play-maker Amine Harit as a potential Mesut Ozil replacement.

Liverpool are also said to be in the mix with their interest first reported back in December.

Amine Harit is one of the most promising young players coming up to the elite stage of football.

The 19-year-old has already established himself as a first team regular at Nantes, making 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal in the process.

A rising French star, he is one of the most versatile midfielders around, capable of covering multiple positions from wide left to wide right, often drifting from his position to cover his teammates.

With much work still to be done, the youngster is best known for his dribbling and passing abilities, making an average of 1.1 key passes and 2.9 dribbles per game.

Harit could see huge benefits if he were to came to the Emirates, mostly by having a chance to learn from more experienced players and coaches on a much bigger stage. But it would come at a cost of having limited playing time which can be crucial in the development of young players.

If Mesut Ozil were to leave this summer, Harit could provide a long term replacement if he would be given enough time to grow and develop his game, something Sergio Conceicao is currently doing for him at Nantes.
