Arsene Wenger delivered the latest team news on Thursday morning ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Manchester United and, as usual with the Football Gods, they giveth with one hand and taketh away with the other.

  • Xhaka out with swollen ankle
  • Mustafi back in training
  • Lucas suffers ‘small problem’

Granit Xhaka only has a ‘little chance’ of being able to face United at the Emirates after suffering a kick in the Tottenham game last Sunday, which has seen his ankle swell up.

Xhaka was one of the only Arsenal players to put in a decent enough shift during the North London Derby last weekend and potentially having Francis Coquelin up against Paul Pogba is rather scary.

However, if the midfielder even as a little chance of being able to face the Red Devils, that at least suggests that it’s not too serious.

Meanwhile, Shkodran Mustafi has returned to training after missing four games because of a thigh problem.

Lucas Perez is also back in training but Wenger revealed he’s suffered a small problem, which will see him miss a couple more days.

David Ospina is also fit again… yay.
