Turkish Airlines official, Ilker Ayci, claims that there have been offers for Barcelona’s Arda Turan from China.

  • Turan signed for Barca from Atletico Madrid in 2015
  • Has found it hard to replicate previous success
  • Turkish Airlines official claims Turan has received offers from China
  • Arsenal linked with £21m winger
  • Also attracting interest from Serie A

Ayci sits on the board of directors at Turkish Airlines and claims that his company are interested in sponsoring a Chinese Super League club should Turan accept an offer from there.

Turan has been capped 96 times for Turkey and is therefore well known in his country.

Speaking to Turkish Football, Ayci even said that there have already been offers from China.

“There are offers from China for Arda Turan and we would sponsor a club out there if that were to happen,” Ayci said.

“We are looking to expand to China and develop our profile in the far-east.”

The 30-year-old has turned down mega-money moves to China in the past and Arsenal are said to be willing to offer Barcelona the £21m they’re demanding for the forward.

However, if a club from the Chinese Super League does come in with an eyewatering deal, the Catalans will probably find it hard to say no.

At the end of the day, it’ll come down to the player, who’s under contract with the La Liga giants for another three years.

What’s clear is that he does seem to be leaving one way or another, with Barca said to be lining up PSG’s Angel Di Maria as a replacement.
