Celtic’s Moussa Dembele looked destined for a move to Arsenal, Chelsea or Tottenham this summer, but new reports hint that it may not be a Premier League club that he’ll join.

According to the Express, AC Milan have emerged as firm favorites to sign the French U20 international. The 20-year-old was almost signed by Chelsea in January but Celtic managed to keep him at the club. But his performances have made it impossible for the Scottish champions to keep the European giants at bay.

His reported £40million price tag won’t be much of an obstacle for wealthy Premier League clubs, but AC Milan are to be taken very seriously. The club’s new owners are in the process of re-establishing themselves as one of Europe’s greatest again and are determined to strengthen their squad with numerous signings – Moussa Dembele is clearly very high on that list.

But can Arsenal match the bid from Milan, or do they want to? Arsene Wenger is known for wanting value in the transfer market, while looking for lesser-known players with great potential, but he’s sureto be keeping tabs on Dembele.

The rising star in the Scottish Premiership has scored on 17 goals this season. He’s already made 34 you caps for France and his senior invitation is expected to come very soon – potentially raising his asking price further.
