Aaron Ramsey is set to debut his new tattoo-inspired football boots against Manchester United.

Rambo’s new, New Balance football boots’ design has been inspired by two of his current tattoos: Saint Michael the Archangel and the rising sun over Caerphilly Castle.

Saint Michael the Archangel, which symbolises leadership and strength, is on the back of Ramsey’s left calf, while Caerphilly Castle, near to where the Wales international grew up, is on the front.

Only 100 pairs of the boots exclusively available in Rambo’s size (UK 8.5) will be sold, which will make them both rare and valuable in the future.

“I’ve really loved the opportunity to work with the New Balance team to design these boots,” the midfielder said.

“Every time I step on the pitch I feel proud to play for my club and my country, so to get to show this pride through my boots has meant a great deal to me. I can’t wait to play in them.”
