Arsenal Ladies youth teams have reached their respective cup finals, unlike the first team, and those games will be played on the same day at England’s headquarters near Burton-upon-Trent.

The FA Girls Youth Cup final will see the Gunners take on Millwall Lionesses who are unbeaten in the RTC South Division 2/3, while the Arsenal have a 10-1-1 record in the RTC South Division 1.

The FA WSL Development League cup final will see the Gunners take on Bristol City Ladies, a team they are very familiar with. They recently beat them 4-1 away back in March. The Arsenal Ladies development team are currently fifth in the League, trailing the leaders Chelsea by 14 points with five games in hand.  Bristol City are eighth in the League, eight points behind the Gunners and have played an extra four games.

The games will be played on Saturday 20 May with both teams looking to defend their titles. Unfortunately, the first team will be playing at The Hive on the same day at 1pm in the Spring Series, so fans would, in theory, have to choose between those Cup finals and the first team.

In reality, the games at St George’s Park are played behind closed-doors anyway.

There are limited tickets allocated to each club and those are reserved for friends and family only. Basically, fans are not allowed for those two games.

We wishing the teams all the best and hope to see them retain their trophies next month.
