West Brom have reportedly been scouting former Arsenal target William Carvalho.
- Carvalho has been linked with Arsenal for 2 years
- Pulis scouted on Saturday
- West Brom had £20m bid by Sporting rejected last year
- Said to be weighing up £25m offer
Carvalho was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal back in 2015 and again briefly in 2016, but the midfielder signed a new contract with Sporting and the rumours were put to bed.
Now, according to the Telegraph, West Brom have allegedly been scouting the 25-year-old, who’s apparently worth £25m. In fact, Tony Pulis was apparently at Sporting’s 1-1 draw with Benfica on Saturday.
Last season, the Baggies reportedly had an offer of £20m turned down so now it’s down to them whether they think the player’s worth chucking in another £5m.
After an impressive Euro 2016, Carvalho has appeared 40 times over all competitions for Sporting this season, scoring two goals and assisting four.
While the Liga Nos side were dead-set on keeping their man, they’ve reportedly ‘softened’ recently and could end up selling the Portuguese international this summer for the right price.
Carvalho’s release clause runs out in 2020.
