According to a report in the Daily Star, Arsenal are planning to make Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette, their prime attacking target to sign this summer.

The 25-year-old Frenchman was heavily booed by supporters in February after suggesting he’d be angling for a move after the current campaign is complete.

With 30 goals and four assists in all competitions this term, speculation over his future continues to rumble. Plenty of top European sides have been keeping an eye on his progress in recent seasons, with Arsenal ever-present.

Should Arsène Wenger sign a contract extension to remain beyond the summer, he will reportedly have over £200m to spend on rebuilding the squad.

Suggestions have been made to indicate Olivier Giroud is unsettled by a lack of regular first-team minutes, whilst Alexis Sanchez’ long-term future at the club is still uncertain.

Among the interested suitors in Lacazette’s signature include Manchester City, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
