David Ospina has reportedly responded ‘positively’ to an approach from Fenerbahce according to a report from Turkey.

  • Ospina says move is ‘okay’ for him if Arsenal agree
  • Arsenal have reportedly accepted a £6m bid for goalkeeper
  • Ospina would earn £40kpw, same as he gets at Arsenal

A report from Turkey is claiming that the Colombian ‘responded positively to Fenerbahce’s uninterrupted interest this time.’

They also report Ospina as saying, “Istanbul may be a new adventure and motivation for me. If my club are persuaded, it’s okay for me.”

Ospina has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer, last summer, and the summer before that.

Convinced to stay last summer with the promise of Cup and Champions League football, this is no longer enough for him.

Arsenal are said to be in the market for a goalkeeper this summer as they look to not only replace David Ospina, but also Petr Cech, whose decline this season has been obvious for all to see.

Both keepers are out of the game against Palace on Monday night. Emi Martinez, whom Arsene Wenger previously tipped for the Arsenal number one shirt, will start again. Matt Macey will be back on the bench after his recall from Luton.
