Kylian Mbappe has apparently decided to remain with Monaco for another season despite the club receiving an alleged €100m from an unnamed English club.

  • Mbappe is under contract with Monaco until 2019
  • He signed his first professional contract in March 2016
  • “I’ll be doing everything I can to repay the faith shown in me by the management, the staff and my teammates,” he said at the time

“Someone has offered more than €100m (£85m) and it’s not Real Madrid,” Guillem Balague told Sky Sports about Mbappe who is perhaps one of the most wanted men in Europe.

“It’s an English club apparently but his representatives are saying it doesn’t matter because he wants to stay with Monaco for another year.

“That’s what he says for now anyway.”

It does seem highly probably that Mbappe will remain where he is, for the next season at least as he matures.

Still only 18, he’s playing regularly with a Champions League side and there’s no guarantee that would be the case if he moves to a bigger club.

Arsene Wenger is along-time admirer of the player and has already tried to land him. At the time, the forward was also in no rush to move.

One of the biggest compliments being paid to the Frenchman is his level-headedness.

He doesn’t seem the type to believe his own hype.

In the end, that will make him a better player than most youngsters, before you even factor in his incredible skill.
