Deportivo La Coruna have reportedly opened talks with Lucas Perez over a return to his former club.

  • Lucas is in search of regular playing time
  • Dreams of playing for Spain
  • Willing to take pay cut
  • Already opened talks with Deportivo over return

The forward only moved to north London from Deportivo for £17m in the summer but has struggled with injuries and therefore found it difficult to cement himself permanently in Arsenal’s first team.

As a result, he’s made just two Premier League starts and 22 total appearances, scoring eight and assisting six.

According to a report from La Voz de Galicia, the 28-year-old and his former club have already been in contact over his return but will resume talks in the summer.

Lucas dreams of playing for Spain, which is yet to happen, and with one eye on the 2018 World Cup in Russia and time not exactly on his side, he’s being forced to consider a move despite being happy at Arsenal.
