Jurgen Klopp is not discounting Arsenal as the chase for the top four hots up with 4 sides chasing 2 places.

  • Liverpool can get a maximum of 81 points
  • Arsenal can reach a maximum of 78
  • Manchester City can reach a maximum of 82
  • Manchester United can reach a maximum of 81

Liverpool’s win against West Brom, where Arsenal fell recently, took Liverpool to 66 points, just four wins away from the maximum number of points that Arsenal can collect this season.

Arsenal’s win over Boro took them to 57 points with two games in hand over Klopp’s men. Should Arsenal win them both, not anything they can bank on, they would be within two points of the Scousers.

“It is the Premier League, they (Arsenal) have three, four, five games in hand so we should not think about this. We could only get to 66 points [on Sunday], so it feels perfect,” Klopp said.

“Next week we try at Anfield to get 69, and let’s carry on. If we do what we have to do, we will be where we want to be.”

Liverpool still have to face the following sides in the run-in:

  • Crystal Palace (h)
