Joel Campbell is reportedly set to go out on loan again next season.

  • Arsenal signed Campbell from Saprissa in 2011
  • Only made 23 Premier League appearances for Gunners
  • Currently on fifth loan spell at Sporting
  • Fenerbahce could pay €3-4m for permanent move

According to Takvim, Turkish club Fenerbahce are interested in taking Joel Campbell on loan and have allegedly already made contact with Arsenal and the player’s agent.

If the 24-year-old, who Fenerbahce have apparently been chasing for three years, does complete another loan move, this will be his sixth since signing for Arsenal in 2011.

Although the Costa Rica international’s Arsenal contract runs out at the end of the next season, when his reported loan spell with Fenerbahce would end, the deal is said to include a an option to buy the forward for €3-4m.

Fenerbahce are said to be optimistic over the talks that have already taken place.

Campbell is a player with plenty of promise and when he had to step in at Arsenal last season due to first team injuries, he delivered, scoring three and assisting the same amount.

Obviously, Arsene Wenger doesn’t see his future in north London.

Campbell isn’t the only Arsenal player that Fenerbahce are after. They’re also allegedly willing to pay €7m for David Ospina.
