Thierry Henry did not give the answer Sky Sports expected when he was asked after Tottenham’s win over Arsenal if he looks across north London with a sense of envy.

While the former Gunner did not hold back in his criticism of Arsenal, he wasn’t having any of this ‘envy’ business, highlighting how this is only one season in 20 before adding, “20 years, and they [Spurs] still have nothing to show for it.”

And he’s right. In that time, they’ve won two league cups.

That’s it.

Arsenal, in the same period, have won three league titles, six FA Cups, and have qualified for the Champions League a gazillion times.

Spurs will now finish in the top four for the second season in a row for the first time and they could still end up having a less successful season than Arsenal who still have to head to Wembley.

After that display at White Hart Lane, Arsenal fans are rightly worried about facing Chelsea. They shouldn’t be. Like we saw against City, the players will turn up because they want a medal.

They just don’t seem to care that it’s an Arsenal medal. Any silverware will do.
