Everton are reportedly ready to throw everything but the kitchen sink at Sunderland goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, to entice him to their club.

  • Everton willing to pay Pickford £90kpw
  • Pickford’s kept 3 Premier League cleans sheets and shipped 39 in 23 appearances
  • Arsenal need new keeper if Ospina leaves
  • Manchester City also interested

The Toffees are allegedly willing to offer the 23-year-old £90,000 a week, which is more than star player Romelu Lukaku apparently earns. While Sunderland are said to be demanding £15m for their shot-stopper, despite the Black Cats looking set for relegation to the Championship this season.

Arsenal, however, have also been linked with Pickford, with a reliable source claiming that there’s a good chance he’ll come to north London.

With David Ospina probably going to Fenerbahce this summer and Wojciech Szczesny’s future at Arsenal in doubt, the Gunners are in need of another pair of safe hands, especially with Petr Cech being past his best and unlikely to stay for more than a couple more years at the most.

Pickford’s contract with Sunderland runs until 2020.
