Sarajevo radio confirmed that Arsenal scout, Bobby Bennett, was in Bosnia on 19 April.

  • Arsenal scout attends Mladost DK and FK Sarajevo
  • No reports on who Gunners were scouting
  • Bosnia international Sead Kolašinac seems close to signing

Bennett was said to be scouting the Bosnian Cup semi-final between Mladost DK and FK Sarajevo from the Bosnian first division on Wednesday. The match ended 3-2 to Sarajevo; 4-3 on aggregate, after the first leg ended 1-1.

“We are very happy and proud to be in an arena that can accommodate representatives of such a great club,” Sarajevo’s director said.

Haris Duljevic (23), Nermin Crnkic (24) and Adnan Kovacevic (23) all scored for Sarajevo, putting them 3-0 ahead and winning sending them through to the final despite Mladost’s Goran Brkic (25) scoring a late brace in the 88th and 89th minutes.

At this moment in time, no one appears to know which Bosnian player Arsenal were scouting at that particular game. However, it was speculated to be Duljevic, who not only scored during the match but is said to be their league’s best player.

The Gunners have recently been heavily linked with Bosnia international Sead Kolasinac who is able to leave Schalke on a free at the end of the season. Although nothing’s set in stone just yet, this does seem likely.

Will Arsenal be adding more Bosnians to that list? Only time will tell.
