Arsene Wenger gave the latest team news ahead of Arsenal trip to West Brom.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was subbed off during the Gunners’ FA Cup clash against Lincoln last weekend with a tight hamstring, will face a late fitness test today (Thursday) ahead of the match at the Hawthorns.
Hopefully he can play as the midfielder’s been on top form lately and at least it’s not severe enough that he’s been completely ruled out.
Kieran Gibbs is a doubt, which is a shame as the leftback played 90 minutes in the FA Cup against Lincoln and managed grabbed two assists. Considering Nacho Monreal’s poor form this season, having Gibbs fit was another option.
However, Mohamed Elneny has returned to training after suffering a calf injury against Sutton that he’d been fending off since the Africa Cup of Nations. He’ll still need to regain some fitness before being thrown back into first team football though.
