Arsene Wenger revealed the latest team news going into Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday.
Although Petr Cech is still out with a calf strain, the goalkeeper could be back next week despite being initially ruled out for a month. He could be back for the Crystal Palace clash on 10 April.
Lucas Perez is also out with a thigh problem.
Alexis Sanchez has been in contract with the boss and although he’s taken a knock while away with Chile, he’s fine.
Unfortunately, Wenger also confirmed once and for all that Santi Cazorla won’t return this season, simply stating that his season is over. Many assumed this was the case but to hear it said so plainly is a shame.
Hopefully, the midfielder can just recover this season and come back next term stronger.
Mesut Ozil is also fine to play despite missing the West Brom game through a slight hamstring injury and then a back problem while away with the German national side.
