Sol Campbell has arrived in Trinidad and Tobago to take up his new role as Assistant Coach of the national team.
Met at the airport by a reporter, Sol’s first comment was ‘It’s hot’.
Sol had been interviewing for a number of coaching jobs, searching for the perfect role upon which to cut his teeth. He agreed a deal to join Trinidad and Tobago at the end of January.
In the interview above, Sol spoke about what he hopes to bring to the role, including his ‘eye for detail’.
“I’m a winner and I want to pass that on,” Sol added. He is. He won the double, double, double…
Their next competitive game will be against the United States on 27 June in a World Cup qualifier.
