When Shkodran Mustafi signed for Arsenal from Valencia during the summer, most Gooners were over the moon with the new defender but now it appears he’s perhaps not the player we thought he was.

The centreback started the season positively, as did the rest of the squad, for the most part. However, over time, especially recently, Mustafi has been far from impressive. At times, his positioning has been shambolic.

Against West Brom, the German managed the third most passes (78/92), but only attempted two tackles, neither of which were successful, he made no interceptions, one block, two clearances and won two aerial duels.

On Twitter, fans weren’t best pleased by his performance.
