On 16 March 2014, Tomas Rosicky scored a beauty of a goal against Spurs at White Hart Lane.
The midfielder loved to score against Arsenal’s north London rivals during his time at the club, which was one of the many reasons the fans appreciated him so much. In fact, in 14 games against Spurs, Rosicky scored three goals.
When Arsenal faced Spurs in 2014 at White Hart Lane, the odds were stacked against the visitors. However, when Rosicky put the Gunners 1-0 ahead in just 72 seconds, the away end exploded and that was it. Despite Spurs giving the match everything, they couldn’t manage an equaliser and Arsenal left with all three points.
This only added insult to injury, as a couple of months earlier, Arsenal had knocked Spurs out of the FA Cup. Arsenal then went on to win it.
That season, Spurs finished 10 points behind fourth-place Arsenal in sixth after winning 3/5 of their final fixtures while the Gunners won 5/5.
