Mesut Ozil has said that he doesn’t know how to decide his Arsenal future but admitted that he feels very well at the club and in the city.

Speaking to the German Press Agency, Mesut Ozil said, “The fact is, I still have a contract in London. And speculating now would be wrong.

“After the season we will see it, there will be talks.

“I feel very well at Arsenal and in London,” he added.

“I do not know how to decide. We just have to wait.”

Arsene Wenger recently admitted that talks with Mesut Ozil (and Alexis) have been put on hold until the summer, but this certainly sounds like there is hope we can get the German to stay. Perhaps it really is as simple as him waiting on Arsene Wenger to announce his decision before he makes up his mind.

About the rest of the season at Arsenal, Ozil added, “We have a difficult phase.

“Somehow it does not work with the team.

“We collect a lot of goals, maybe it’s self-confidence.

“But when I see the quality at Arsenal, I am firmly convinced that we will get a run again soon.”

Ozil has recently been out with a muscle injury (calf and thigh according to the German) but declared himself fit for the game on Sunday. The DFB then said he missed their final training session with a back problem so it’s not clear at this point if he will feature. He does seem to have travelled with the side to Baku.
