Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil jetted off to meet up with their respective international teams despite both carrying an injury.

Ozil’s slight hamstring was the source of a lot of conspiracy theories over the past few days, with many fans ready to go bananas if he appeared for Germany. Never fear, however, he is actually injured and Joachim Low confirmed that he will not play against England on Wednesday night.

Alexis Sanchez, however, is fit and will play against Argentina. After arriving in Chile on Sunday he was assessed by the Chile medics who gave him the all-clear to join in with training.

So did he take it easy after getting his ankle battered against West Brom? Don’t be daft, he was giving it everything in training as normal.

Chile had been informed by Arsenal that Alexis would most likely be ok, a direct contradiction of what Arsene Wenger led people to believe after the game at the weekend.
