Lukas Podolski has said that he has no idea who could replace Arsene Wenger because ‘he is Arsenal’ and built the club from ‘nothing’.
The 31-year-old was speaking after he had scored his 49th goal for Gemrany during his final appearance for his country as they beat England.
Of course, Sky Sports couldn’t just let the evening be about Poldi and his achievements, they had to ask about Wenger.

“I follow nearly every match – when not live, on social media – and I don’t know what’s happened,” Poldi replied.
“Arsene Wenger is a good guy and a good coach. He built this club from nothing to now, and it will be interesting what happens in the next months.
“I don’t know who the guy is that can replace him. He is Arsenal.”
At the end of this season, Podolski is off to Japan to play for Vissel Kobe.
It’s a surprising move for a player who should still have another couple of years left in him at a higher level. The J-League side have never finished higher than seventh.
Throughout his career, Lukas won the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, FA Cup, Turkie Kupsai, Super Kupa, and the World Cup.
Not bad for a player who can pretty much do nothing other than hit the ball really hard and well.
