According to Corriere dello Sport, Alexis Sanchez has chosen not to renew his Arsenal deal and the club will sell him for €30m in the summer.

The Chilean’s relationship with Arsene Wenger has allegedly become strained and, since he only has around 15 months left on his current Arsenal deal, the club could look to cash in on him in the summer if he’s not prepared to extend.

Alexis has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants, Juventus and Inter Milan. However, his supposed wage demands of £300,000 a week may prove troublesome considering neither club is usually willing to fork out that much for their players.

Arsenal only receiving €30m for the forward would be a little disappointing considering the club would be making a loss despite the player actually being even better than when he joined from Barcelona. However, come summer, there will only be a year left on his contract, and although he’s still Alexis Sanchez, if the 28-year-old wants to force his way out of the club, Arsenal might have no choice but to take what they can get.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger claims that negotiations over Mesut Ozil and Alexis’ contracts will continue in the summer, saying, “Once you don’t find an agreement, it’s better you sit down in the summer.”
