Alexis Sanchez likes to do everything at full throttle and that includes, it seems, driving.

  • Alexis will face the courts in April
  • He has already had one lucky driving escape
  • Chile play Venezuela tonight

The Arsenal forward, who is currently on international duty with Chile, was clocked doing 155 kmpm (96 mph) in the Buin area which sits south of Santiago.

The police issued Alexis a fine and a court date has been set for 12 April.

This is not the first time Alexis’ driving has got him into trouble. In 2013 he was lucky to escape dying when he wrote off his car after he lost control of it.

After this horror smash, reports in Spain claimed he simply left his car where it lay in the middle of the street and went home with a friend.

Links are, of course, also being drawn between Alexis and international teammate, Arturo Vidal. Vidal was given a two-year driving ban because of an incident during the 2015 Copa America. The midfielder crashed his Ferrari when out and about on a night off.

No details were available at the time of writing about the date/time of the incident, but 17  hours ago, Alexis was posting on Instagram

It reads, “You will notice What today seems like a sacrifice, will end up being the greatest achievement of your life.”

Chile face Venezuela tonight with an 11pm kick-off.
