Berkay Özcan’s agent claims that the German is on ‘Arsenal’s list’.

The Stuttgart midfielder is only 19 years old and therefore only moved from the 2.Bundesliga club’s youth side to the first team in 2016. Before that he spent a brief spell at Karlsruher SC.

Özcan has featured 16 times in 2.Bundesliga so far this season, scoring twice and assisting three. He’s also played twice in the German domestic club, scoring once and assisting once.

His agent, Baris Yukselsen, claims that Arsenal are very interested.

“Many top clubs are interested at Berkay,” the agent told Football London.

“Arsenal has Berkay on its list, but at the moment he is focusing on Stuttgart’s resurgence.”

Yukselsen didn’t name the other top clubs allegedly interested in his client.

The midfielder is contracted with Stuttgart, who are currently at the top of the German second tier league, until 2019.

Although Özcan is of German nationality and represented them at an under-15 level, he was born to Turkish parents and since an under-16 level has played for Turkey. He’s since been capped once for the under-21s.
