Xabi Alonso has made a miraculous recovery after having to be helped from the training pitch on Monday and now looks in contention to feature against Arsenal.

Helped by trainers after picking up a knee injury in a challenge, he was then taken away on a golf cart and seemed certain to miss the game against Arsenal. Of course, we were judging him by Arsenal injury standards.

Alonso, however, returned to full training on Tuesday.

Bayern will definitely be without Franck Ribery and Jerome Boateng. The duo are back in training but are still doing solo work before they are ready to integrate back into first-team training.
