Earlier in the week, pictures of talented German youngster Daniel Hanslik surfaced online posing with Shkodran Mustafi and Mesut Özil.
Unsurprisingly, this caused speculation about the 20-year-old’s future and the possibility that he could be at Arsenal on trial.
The SV Steinbach striker, who has scored 14 goals and created five assists in 20 league appearances this term, has attracted some attention from scouts across Europe.
When speaking to OM Sport about his future, Hanslik’s father and representative Kujtim said they’ve “agreed not to deliver any information” on whether he was at Arsenal for a trial period or not.
This makes the possibility of a deal being struck even higher, especially as Kujtim could’ve easily just rubbished the claims. Instead, he refused to give any information which would be in line with how Arsenal like to conduct business.
It’s also understandable as he could be trying to protect his son, helping him avoid the media barrage that would follow if he did confirm a move was on the cards.
Hanslik’s current contract expires this summer and at 20, he is free to join the Gunners if offered a professional contract.
Given the fact that Arsenal aren’t the only side to be interested, is definitely a promising sign but equally one that could mean a tug-of-war begins over the striker’s services in future.
