Stephy Mavididi was stretchered off late in the game with what seems to be a serious hamstring injury.
The Arsenal man had started the match, which Charlton lost 1-0 at home to Bury, but in the 90th minute had to be taken off.
Speaking after the game, the Charlton manager, Karl Robinson, took the blame for Stephy’s injury. “I should have brought Stephy off after 60 minutes”. He said
“His injury is my fault. I know how to work with young kids and the emotion of the game got in the way of the development of a young player.
“It is the first time he has played Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday and I should have taken him off before he got injured.”
Mavididi has impressed since he sign for the Addicks on loan.

Mavididi has been outstanding for Charlton. The downside is that he's a reminder of just how far we've fallen since Premiership days. pic.twitter.com/vXb6lMCbLq

There is no information about how long he is expected to be sidelined. Charlton will no doubt wait for swelling to go down before they send him for a scan to determine the damage. That should be within the next 48 hours.
