As we previously revealed Asisat Oshoala is on her way to China and actually already training there.
The Arsenal forward has not featured in any of the three pre-season friendlies and was not at the team photoshoot either.

According to this Chinese website, she should sign up today for Dalian Quanjian. Dalian is situated North of Beijing and is managed by former PSG coach, Farid Benstiti. Recently, her rep said, “Asisat is not leaving Arsenal even if there are offers.
“Her focus is to prove a point at Arsenal this season in England after her slow start.
“At 22 why would she opt for China because of the financial gains now? No, she’s fast becoming a brand that will earn more on and off the pitch.”
Asisat Oshoala did not have the best season for Arsenal and to see her leave the club after one season to earn a lot more money in China is not a surprise really.
The coaching staff does not seem to have found her a place in the team, either as centre forward or right winger. She could also have played as a second striker or even in midfield, but due to the heavy squad rotation and indifferent performances, she never seemed to be settled.
FA WSL official stats give her 16 appearances and two goals, not a great return for a player with a high potential and a former BBC Woman’s Player of the Year winner.
In the meantime, her attitude did not look great a couple of times. For example, at the Sunderland away games she did not get on. Post game, the substitutes do a lot of running, half-pitch length etc. She did not apply herself at all showing a lazy attitude, unlike youngsters Rianna Dean or even goalie Sian Rogers who ended up running quicker than her.
At the open training session with the Arsenal Ladies Supporters Club fans towards the end of the season, her attitude was the same. Her nonchalance was striking and there for all to see.
In contrast Josephine Henning, who left the club during the transfer window to go to Lyon, was going full tilt, giving 100% and shouting at players when their positioning went wrong or if they were not making the effort.
With Beth Mead already signed and youngster Rianna Dean pushing for a place in the matchday squad, the club is not short of options upfront as, we also have Jodie Taylor and Danielle Carter fighting for the number 9 spot.
Hopefully Farid Benstiti will manage to get the best out of her in China after she was recently vote Women’s Africa Player of the Year.
