Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing PSG’s 24-year-old left back, Layvin Kurzawa.
A player who can play anywhere on the left, the defender is under contract until 2020 and has made 14 Ligue 1 appearances this season, scoring and assisting two.
The rumour popped up online and has spread to a number of sites but there doesn’t seem to be a fixed or reliable source for the information.
With that being the case, it is impossible to say how much truth there is to this rumour. One report says that the player will cost €20m, another saying that’s how much Arsenal would be willing to pay for him.
The player was linked with Arsenal and Barcelona earlier in the month according to TalkSPORT who got their information from Sport in Spain (not linked to). That rumour spread as well and it seems as if it could be on its way back with Barcelona no longer being included. For now.
Left-backs being linked with Arsenal comes as no surprise. Nacho Monreal has performed poorly for large chunks of this season and it’s not clear that Arsene Wenger trusts Kieran Gibbs as a long-term, first-choice left back for the side.
