Stefan Silva has told the press in Italy that he is ‘dreaming’ of playing alongside Alexis Sanchez after just completing his move to Udinese from GIF Sundsvall this month.

“I do not have a pre-defined goal,” Silva said after the move.

“I think only to train seriously and work.

“Now I am in a Serie A team, so I have to train better and to use this opportunity.

“Playing with the shirt of Palermo for me is a dream come true. I want to show everyone that I deserve to be here. I want to help the team escape.

“National team? I know it will not be an easy task because in Chile there are many level strikers, but playing in Palermo [it] could happen.

“And then I want to fulfil the dream of my whole career. What? Play [with] Alexis Sanchez, [he] is my favourite player. “

Although born in Stockholm, Silva has dual nationality.

26, the left winger who can also play as an attacking midfielder and centre forward, scored 7 goals and created 3  in 30 Allsvenskan games last season.
